Rep: Reese Witherspoon Is Not Engaged to Jake Gyllenhaal

The UK weekly magazine Reveal claimed "exclusively" that the pair were getting married. According to the report, "Jake popped the question during a romantic trip to Rome last October, but Reese has only just accepted the Brokeback Mountain star’s proposal."

"It's absolutely false," Witherspoon's rep tells Us. "There’s not one ounce of truth to it."

Witherspoon, 31, has been seeing Gyllenhaal, 26, since early last year. She has two children, children, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 3, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

“He's great!” she said of Gyllenhaal in October.
