See More... Keely Shaye Smith (Pierce Brosnan’s wife) was recently photographed in a bikini at the beach.

I know I might get some angry comments for this, but I must speak my mind… I think she’s really overweight!

I’m not sure if she has any medical condition that makes her gain weight, but she certainly doesn’t look healthy like that! (Keely Shaye Smith was also on the cover of National Enquirer for having the “worst diet”.)

  • I love round tummy. A few fat creases are reality. That turns me on! I will always choose the girl that is over "standard" weight, rather than the standard or below. Besides, the "overweight" ones, are usually not stuck on themselves, and are friendly and sweet (in more ways than one).

  • Wo! She bleeeeew up! Pierce must really love her to accept her that way. But if he really cared, he'd put her on a serious diet! It's not like they are broke, they have money! Why can't she work out in her gym -- with her husband's kind of money, THEY SHOULD HAVE A HOME GYM! Also, get a personal chef that will not feed her Cheetos, Nachos, Burgers, Fried Chicken, Soda pop, etc. She has no excuse for being the size of a freight train. So sad, because she does have a pretty face. Does she have kids? If so, she'd should shed some weight if she wants to see them grow up. SHE IS JUST SOOO MASSIVE!

  • Keely is simply gorgeous, and Pierce is too. He obviously loves her. She is well proportioned and has a lovely shape. She's something like 5 foot 9 inches tall and carries her weight well. Lots of fat phobic people, and others with body issues, might make a fuss, but Keely looks athletic and healthy, robust, and beautiful. God bless her and her family.

  • Anonymous @ 7/29: ask a medical doctor what "obese" means, and he would say "having an abnormally high, unhealthy amount of body fat, with a BMI of 30 or more". Take a look, a good look at Keely in those photos. She does not have an "abnormally high" "unhealthy" amount of body fat.

  • I am exactly the same age and height as Keely. At 5'9'' and 190 lbs, my BMI is 28, which is over the healthy limit by about 3. The healthy weight range for someone our age and height is 145-165 lbs, which makes me overweight. Keely looks to be at least 20 lbs heavier than I, so I can only guess that her BMI is somewhere around 31, possibly 32. That is obese. Yes, she is a beautiful woman, but her excess weight does put her at risk for all kinds of unhealthy medical conditions. Also, I can honestly say, being as I too am fighting the middle-age metabolism slow down, that no matter how much her husband loves her and how comfortable she says she feels in her skin, I can't believe that she wouldn't rather be wearing a size 10 or 12 rather than the size 18 or 20 that she must be wearing now, no matter who her designer is. But people don't change there behaviors until they change their attitudes. Obviously, her attitude now is that her weight doesn't matter. Unfortunately, the older one gets, the harder it is to lose those excess pounds. But she is lucky in that she has a husband who loves her and when she is ready to be honest about her health and get some of that weight off, he'll be there to support her. Of that, I am sure. I think she's fabulous! They both are. I wish them all the best.
