Britney’s Psych Ward Stay Extended

At this point we're actually starting to feel sorry for Britney Spears. She's clearly mentally ill - bipolar, apparently - she's lost all but phone contact with her kids, she's been taken serious disadvantage of by a paparazzo with nothing but ill intentions, she's even lost legal control over her own affairs..... the list keeps getting longer. Thank goodness for the doctors at UCLA who are treating her right now! You'd think the drama would stop there, but no. This is Brit we're talking about after all! Just this weekend, her house has been broken into - who else could the prime suspect be but Sam Lutfi? - and now she's throwing fits in the loony bin about her father being named her conservator. Doctors at the UCLA Medical Center psych ward extended Britney Spears’ 72 hour 5150 hold to 14 days.

It’s an internal process — done without a court order. But we’re told it will indeed happen, and that’s not surprising given her mental health. As we first reported, Britney’s been diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder.

In other Britney news, her father Jamie reported a robbery at her Beverly Hills home on Friday. The LAPD took a report from the singer’s parents, claiming several valuable items went missing since Britney was admitted to the hospital on Thursday.

The source says Spears’ father Jamie and mother Lynne were “shocked” to find that the valuable items “had been stolen” after they returned to the house following yesterday’s emergency hearing where Jamie won legal control over his daughter.

They then called police and filed a report.

Los Angeles Police officer Alex Martinez confirmed to Us that police had responded to a call at Spears’ house, but did not know what had transpired.

“The report is being processed through our system,” he said. “We do not have access to it.”

Why do I have a feeling Sam Lutfi is about to be in some serious stuff?

i really feel sorry for britney spears... she has been d idol i looked up too since i was a kid. but now... hmmmmmmm, she's terrible.... i just hope she can recover fast...

this poor poor woman.. I dont think much is really wrong with her.. she is just living out every womans worst nightmare , all in front of everyone and with access to everything... TELL ME WOULD ANY OF YOU REALLY ACT MUCH DIFFERENTLY? Kevin duped her and made her feel and look like a fool.. her parents are like everyones, they want her to be 25 going on 80, and she is a new mom with no one to turn too.. Leave her be and she will be just fine.. we all went through this, we just werent britney.. I love her

GOOD she needs to have someone taking care of her, obviously she can't do it herself.

OMG This girl is going to loose it well what she hasnt already. Thats not fare. I am thinking her father is up to something. Why isnt her mother in charge of her estate. Last i heard brit hates her father

1st,britney lost the love of her life.she never imagined life without justin temberlake.2nd,the devil,in the form of kevin federline,entered her life.being the sleeze he is,he crawled into her life,took control,planned and schemed his way to becoming''sombody''and weathy.3rd,britney became a mother,twice....4th, again her dreams were shattered,she began smelling kfed,and divorced him.5th,she broke off releationship with her 'mother'.6th,being so fragile and naieve, she was thrown further into the world of nonthruths and deception,with the likes of "sam".so on and on and on it goes.think back to how she was,looked,spoke, dressed,etc. before kfed,how she was raised and especially how close she and her parents were,and how happy she and her family were.this is what a mental breakdown looks like. with proper help, britney spears of old will return.her parents do have her best interest in mind....signed downsouth.

Glad she is FINALLY getting the help she needs. To bad her parents didn't have brains enough to step up & help her a lot earlier so things wouldn't have gotten so out of control, maybe they needs some help as well! Can't see how being proud of a 16yr being pregant is helping either one of their daughters! WAKE UP MOM & DAD!
