Eli Manning led the underdog team to the Super Bowl Championship. The Pefect season is over for the New England Patriots. David Tyree and Eli Manning should win the Co MVP Award. Eli Manning lobbed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds left to give the New York Giants a 17-14 lead over the unbeaten New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
Tom Brady threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss with less than 3 minutes to play to give the Patriots a 14-10 lead. The heavily favored Pats clung to a 7-3 lead after three quarters. Laurence Maroney's 1-yard TD run early in the second gave New England a 7-3 lead as the Patriots made their bid for a 19-0 record and a place in NFL history.
