Celebrities in attendance – including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Brooke Shields, Drew Barrymore, Angie Harmon, Donald Trump, P. Diddy, Gwen Stefani, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jerry Seinfeld – helped raise $3.7 million to aid poor and sick children around the world.
The Gucci-sponsored event, held at the United Nations in New York City, consisted of an auction hosted by Chris Rock and a performance by Rihanna. Tickets ranged from $2,500 to $10,000 per person.
"This is the very first private fund raiser ever to be held on UN property," actress Tea Leoni told Usmagazine.com. "I think you can thank Madonna for that."
Drew Barrymore told Us that UNICEF is "global and life changing."
Other celebs were there to support Madonna, who brought along 11-year-old daughter Lourdes. "Madonna, she is unbelievable," Rihanna told Us. "She is amazing."
Even a very-pregnant Jennifer Lopez made it to the event. Lopez told Us she's "very happy, feeling pretty good."
