Chelsea Clinton Disses The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck

I Like It I Don't Like It
Chelsea Clinton reportedly dissed "The View"'s Elisabeth Hasselbeck this week - and if you were Bill and Hillary's daughter, wouldn't you do the same?  We're sure she's done her parents proud!  Holy Candy reports:  

 

Chelsea Clinton personally campaigned for a critical demographic — The View chatterboxes — after Whoopi, Sherri and Joy expressed their indecision about the presidential election. Not surprisingly, conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who often communicates in high-pitched mermaid squeals, didn’t rate a call and noted her “disappointment” on yesterday’s show.

 

So what do you know… Elisabeth got a call at 7 a.m. today from Miss Chelsea, but was too busy pouring milk on her baby (or whatever it is that new moms do) to take it. And when Elisabeth called Chelsea back, there was no response.

 

SCREENED! As a big fan of The Screen, all I can say is…

 

Well-played, Chelsea. Well-played, indeed.

  • someone needs to remind Barbara that its necessary for her to let Elizabeth know that its rude to speak over others. Its a panel of
    four to Five along with Guest. Sometimes its frustrating to try and listen to the Hot and Important Topics, please tone it down we know that you are there once again!!!! Chelsea is marvelous and very smart.

  • I think Elizabeth is wonderful and if you were a conservative you would too!!!!!!!!!!! Chelsea is about 20 times more liberal than her parents and it is sad that we have several people fighting for our country and all you liberals don't appreciate it. This has been going on for years. I think we should send all of you over there so you could learn to appreciate what people are giving to you. If you don't like it, MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY!

This isn't a war we wanted - but we're fighting it and supporting the troops anyway. No, we won't move to another country, this is our home, too.   • I don't know how Elizabeth or any other conservative can state with a straight face that fact after the last 8 years of a very conservative George Bush, she should be so lucky to have an intelligent women like Chelsea even bother with a narrow minded conservative like her. It's time Barbara opened her eyes Elizabeth is not good for her show, we watch for Joy, Shari, and Whoopie and can't stand listening to Elizabeth talk over everyone else.

    • your statements are foolish, just like many other liberals. My parents are from Cuba and had to endure the torment of Castro's brutal regime. Castro made big speaches about CHANGE, though his "change" was loss of freedom, dignity, personal finance, etc etc.
      Yet liberals (many) think that Che, Castro's right hand man, that delt his assasination squadsand torture tactics, is a liberator a "revolutionary. That's the kind of intellect (or lack there of) that we are dealing with in this country. Stupidity because of lack of knowledge in the truth.

  • Minorities tend to have to scream their point of view. They otherwise are not heard. Elizabeth is the only conservative on the panel. If she didn't speak over them, she wouldn't speak at all. They never stop talking. Especially Joy.

  • For Patty from Iowa: There are bad apples in every bunch. Point in fact. If you threw out all the adulterers in the democratic party, there would be no Bill Clintons, yet he balanced the budget. Of course, it was on the backs of our military. Do away with the military, and we are in good shape. Even a surplus. Of course, we are in danger of becoming a bulls eye to our enemies with our weekened strength and all, but hey!! We have a balanced budget. Personally, I wouldn't even dream of saying publicly that I think the President of the U.S. is a wienie. I tend to believe in that old saying: "Devide and Conquer," as do most of our enemies. They smile each time they hear one of us "diss" our president. If one wants to preserve our hard won freedoms and democracy, one must show the office of the the presidency respect. No matter who holds it. Yes, freedom of speech is very important, but I tend to believe our young men and women have fought for much more than that.

  • Elizabeth and her quivering voice needs to leave the show. It was so pleasant when she was gone for two and a half months. She has to yell over everyone to be heard. It is so annoying.

    • you're right she has to raise her voice a little, but she is always respectful of the others, but they roll their eyes, make faces while she is talking and constantly interrupted so much so she can barely keep her train of thought so then they dismiss her as being stupid. Do you have any idea how many moronic things joy idiot behar has said? There isn't enough room on the page.

  • The View was much more enjoyable when Elizabeth was away on leave. She doesn't fit in with the rest. She is a poor example of a 30 something woman. She lacks communication skills, pouts when she doesn't get her way, acts very childish which is only illuminated when sitting amoung these wise, well spoken, women. It would be better for the View if they would replace her with a more talented woman in her thirties. It is painful to watch with Elisabeth back at the table.

  • Barbara must never read all the email comments concerning The View. Elisabeth is still there. She makes it almost impossible for me to watch and enjoy the program. I still question what qualifies her to be there.."Survivor" ??? Also, she usually dresses too provocatively. Who is she trying to impress?   • I personally love Elizabeth. She is a young woman who not only knows what her views are but is sticking by them in the face of alot of conterversary. I was ashamed that Barry Manilow didn't have the manners to appreciate that every american has the right to their personal opinions!! I have been pleasantly surprised at how Whoopi might not agree with what Elizabeth says but listens and respects her opinion. As for Chelsea Clinton....of course she is supporting mommy we would expect nothing less. As for political issues sharing them with a friend might be ok but sharing them with the viewing public could get nasty....Remember you might offend a dried up ole has been who is just writing songs to make the whole world sing.

  • Well said Donna. It's amazing how angry liberals become just become there is ONE person on a panel of four that actually expresses her conservative values. I simply find it ironic that liberals rant about how everyone should be heard but make a point to silence the only conservative voice on the show. Webster has a definition for that...it's called "hypocrisy".

  • Elisabeth; I think you are a very rude person. You are calling Obama a terrorist. You should find out information before speaking that isn't true. Its like Whoope tried to tell you in those days we all did things because of way things were going; you are to young to understand those times and surly will not listen. But I looked on the internet; and found some information about Palin husband see if you have some excuses for him which I am sure you will. I read that Todd was member of the AIP, an Alaska Independence Parth, a radical group. He stated his hatred for The American governmen & cursed th America flag as a damn flag. You can read about it Faithful Progression: Palin Alaskan Separatist Group Hates America. Let me know how you feel about that. I am sure will make up a reason why he joined this group. You need to learn some respect when other people are talking. That does not look very good on the view.
