Revolving Door Rehab

I Like It I Don't Like It

I don't want to go to rehab…no, no, no.  Amy Winehouse may have sung it first, but it seems to be what a lot of celebrities are saying these days.  The trend has gone from checking into rehab to checking right back out again.

The most recent revolving door rehabber is the gorgeous Eva Mendes. Eva checked into Utah's Cirque Lodge several weeks ago only to check herself out and fly back to LA earlier this week.  No word from her rep on what demons she's battling or why she bailed early.

Cirque Lodge is a pretty popular spot, too.  (It's where Lindsay Lohan holed up last summer after dropping out of another rehab spot in LA.) Rumor has it that the recently falling apart Kirsten Dunst is their newest resident, but a rep for the lodge has denied she's there.  So, where is Kiki?  And what's up with her recent erratic ways?

The closest we may ever come to understanding what goes on in addiction therapy is VH1's definitely addicting "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew".  Certain cast members are constantly putting one foot out the door and others seem to not even know why they're there.  The same issues may be happening for celebs in real life – they may have a problem but it's their agents and managers who are controlling the show.

Which celebrity do you think will go to rehab next? Is there anyone who needs help?

  • I think if someone goes to rehab, it's their business. When any of the "regular, un-famous" people go to rehab, we don't see headlines on tv or on the internet about them. Paparazzi should just let them be. How do they expect anyone to fully recover in rehab if people/paparazzi are constantly following them around and getting in their faces? I know I wouldn't be able to concentrate on my goals or my reasons for being there if there were cameras in my face constantly.
