See More... If you are waiting for the new season of Dancing with the stars to see hunky dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy then you will be disappointed. A spokesperson for the show confirmed that the Star is taking a break from the show but will be back for future seasons.

Maksim took both Laila Ali and Spice Girl Mel B to the finale of the show but did not win the competition. If you are missing your favorite star he will be instructing at his dance academy in New Jersey, and he will also have a fitness DVD which features fellow Dancer Cheryl burke which will be released on April 3rd.

Maks is a great guy and deserves a break from DWTS. He's a terrific dancer/choreographer and will definitely be missed on the next season, although he'll probably return for some special performances. He's a good friend and has such a sweetheart. He can put a smile on anyones face just by being Maks...I love his sense of humor and warm personality.
What ever he choses to do in his life, I wish him all the best and may GOD bless him everyday with plenty of love, health, good furtune and happiness.

Maksim is Handsome.Gorgous.Hunk.cute. I like to see him on season 7 of Dancing with the stars.Also hes going to be back in 2009.Hes fun to watch him Dance.I like his smile.I like the way he Dances.Maksim comeback.I miss you.You needed a Break.I understand.I miss that smile of yours.Looking forward to Seeing him back on Dancing with the stars next season

I miss seeing on dancing with the stars this sesson I can not wait to see you next sesson of dancing with the stars Also you are the reason I started to try to ballroom and latin dancing for fun so I just want to say It is hard but it is also alot of fun to try some thing new with time i will get better at them both Also I just want to say I would like to meet you Maks just to be able to tell you how you have help me with my self comfodints Also I just would like to hang out
