UPDATES:  We have more news on Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's newborns!  Reportedly they were born via C-section.  The baby girl was born at 12:12 a.m. ET on Friday and weighed 5 lbs. 7 oz. The boy followed at 12:23 a.m. ET, weighing 6 lbs.    We hear that Leah Remini and J-Lo's sister Lynda have stopped by to say hi, and that Marc's sister is "ecstatic."    Congrats to Jennifer and Marc!

It's double the baby joy for Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony: They're the proud new parents of twins, a boy and a girl, Lopez's rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.


The babies were born at 12:45 a.m. ET on Friday in Long Island, N.Y., says her rep, Simon Fields.


They're the first children for Lopez, 38, and the fourth for Anthony, 39. The couple celebrated the impending births with a baby shower in New York on Jan. 19. "They were just beaming the entire time," said one partygoer.


Longtime friend Leah Remini calls Lopez, 38, "a born mom" and very nurturing. "With our daughter, she's so great. I mean, lets her go in her closet and play with her coats or her jewelry. She's just so giving and loving," Remini said.

  • Congratulations to Marc and Jennifer. This is her first two children and his fourth and fifth, not third and fourth as I've been reading in several articles and blogs. He has another daughter for whom he wrote and recorded the song "my baby you". She is his eldest child. Three sons/ Two daughters. Get it right people! and again, Congratulations PRIMO!

  • Could somebody post the pictures that Maxim mag published of J.Lo about 6yrs ago? And then lets all have a moment of silence. She was pretty damn fine! Oh well we still have Jessica Alba oh wait thats right she's getting stretch marks as we speak. Hollywood!! Having babies is not sexy! If you keep getting pregnant then they've truly won.

  • i remember when i had my twins a boy name christian and a girl name karina . my son weighed 3lbs 13 oz. my daughter weighed 4lbs 5oz. their the love of my life and they just turn 10 years old on march 19,2008. congrats on your twins and good luck.

  • I REMEMBER WHEN I HAD MY TWINS, TWO GIRLS. SAVANNAH, AND TAYLOR. I HAD THEM 2 MONTHS PREMATURE, TAYLOR WEIGHED 6 POUNDS 6 OZS. AND SAVANNAH WEIGHED 6 POUNDS EVEN. I COULD NOT THINK OF GOING FULL TERM, THEY WOULD HAVE WEIGHED 11 POUNDS A PIECE, IF NOT MORE. CONG.. ENJOY THEM, THEY GROW FAST. MY TWIN GIRLS ARE NOW 9. GOD BLESS YOU

  • Jennifer i have 2 sets of twin my first set is one boy and one girl they are know 24 years old and have kids of there own. my second set are 20 and are girls. one of them is pregant and with twins her self. let me tell you they are a hand full but they are a blessing and i belive that your twins were a blessing for you cause you finally found the right man for yourself tell mark to take good care of you and your babys ok.   • If you do the math you know that she faked her pregnancy. She was showing way too soon, even with twins. Plus, now she is walking around everywhere with tight jeans, something you do not do after a C-section. Someone was a surrogate mother for her.

  • Jen, finally that longed for wish has come true. Congratulations! You are a mother!! Congrats also to Marc...your babies are beautiful, as all latino babies are!! Don't let them tell you otherwise, they're probably just jealous!! I don't need to tell you to treasure this moment because that is what you are probably doing.
