There was a time when Neverland Ranch was considered a bizarre but magical place of exotic animals, roller coasters and childlike fun… and then there was a time when it was tainted by scandal (one too many sleepovers!)… and now it’s just another statistic in the U.S. mortgage crisis. It’s probably got too many bad memories for Michael Jackson anyway, but too bad that it has to be lost to forclosure! User popcrunch (blogging where else but Popcrunch?) has the whole story:
Michael Jackson’s once beloved Neverland Ranch has fallen victim to the nation’s foreclosure epidemic and will offered up on the auction block on March 19th.
FOX News Television reports that the Thriller star was informed by Financial tle Company on Monday that foreclosure proceedings and public auction in front of the Santa Barbara County Courthouse will commence at 1 p.m. PST on the nineteenth.
The winning bidder will get everything Neverland has to offer, including furniture, fixtures, appliances and “all merry-go-round-type devices.”
