We at Dotspotter know you're obsessed with America’s Next Top Model. You watch the models vigilantly (and by ‘watch’, we mean ‘judge’). You've developed an emotional investment in protesting the show's blatent age-discrimination across the judges panel (sorry, Twiggy), and you know a Tyra / Paulina ultimate walk-off is inevitable (and with those baronial cheekbones and a quick two-step absconded from her days on Dancing with the Stars…my money’s on Paulina). It goes without saying that you’ve already made wagers on who ends in tears on cycle nine's makeover episode.
If so, it's Christmas come early for you, my friends!
She's inarguably charismatic, delightfully quirky, and, well, we're finding it hard not to feel more than a little obsessed with the fact that her new name rhymes with "famous." We've scored an exclusive interview with the downright edible Miss Amis as she gives us the insider's view on all things ANTM.
But wait, it gets even better…
Dotspotter will be interviewing the ANTM eliminees every week this season! Between those exclusives (which will be in the DSpot) and our ANTM obsession group….
you’ll have all the photos, videos, and model mania you could possibly stomach.
D: Did you feel like your personality meshed with the others in the house?
A: I feel like I got along with the girls pretty well for the most part. I definitely made more friends than enemies and my personality helped with that. I'm a very fun loving and outgoing person so I hope that made the girls feel comfortable, despite my crude sense of humor.
D: How did you come to enter the show---did you always want to model or was it a friend who pushed you toward it?
A: I have always wanted to model ever since I was a little, attention seeking, glamour girl.
D: Do you have any advice for girls who may want to try auditioning for ANTM? Or any advice for young women who aspire to model in general?
A: I would tell them to be as convincing and unique as possible. The show has a beautiful range of opportunity for every diversity. I truly believe everyone has something to offer and ANTM picks up on that. As for young women aspiring to model in general; I would just tell them to focus on what they love most and if modeling fits in with that then
awesome.
D: What did you find to be the most difficult thing about modeling?
A: The pressure of photo shoots is very hard for me.
D: What was it like meeting Tyra?
A: It was very surreal to meet Tyra. It's just funny because you see the show so many times that it almost feels natural in an odd way but then again this is your life and it's a new thing. She is a very commanding person who can really put you on your toes.
D: What beauty products do you not leave home without?
A: Deodorant. And a blush or a bronzer. If I'm rushing out the door without\ time to put on make up I always try to get some rouge on my cheeks because it just brightens up the whole face and makes you look healthy and alive.
D: If you could model for one designer, who would you choose and why?
A: Betsey Johnson without a doubt. She is a woman who uses her spirit and enthusiasm in the best way. Her clothes represent her attude and when you put on her dresses you can't help but feel like doing a fun jig. I love her bright colors and innovative styles. Most importantly she is a charismatic genius who has the child like soul that I try to embody in
myself. I love her and everything she does so it would be an absolute dream to work with her.
