A spokeswoman for FOX did not return calls seeking comment, AP reports.
Hernandez’s first Idol audition took place in San Diego, Calif., on July 30, 2007 — precisely two months before he left Dick’s Cabaret, according to Bryan.
As of Tuesday morning, the singer was slated to perform with the other male contestants on Tuesday night’s program.
