Rolling Stone Magazine is going to be

not gathering moss in India later this week.

The magazine is launching an Indian edition,

Fishbowl NY is reporting March 7th.

Four alternate covers will be made for the first issue.

Besides Led Zeppelin,

Jay-Z is also one of the featured artists.

Editor Radhakrishnan Nair accepts that the mag

is going after the Indian baby boomers.

According to him,

"We are looking at young 20 to 30 year-old (readers),

but we know the magazine is quite popular with people

of a slightly older demographic."

The magazine was licensed to Indian publisher MW.Com

by Jann Wenner & co. with a catch:

The EIC of Rolling Stone India will be Anuradha Mahindra,

the wife of MW.Com owner Anand Mahindra.
