George Clooney is reportedly set to return to ER for its final season. Producer David Zabel is desperate to get old characters with the new together for a one-off special to celebrate the hit show ending, especially Dr. Douglas Ross, the role George played.

ER, the hit TV drama will end after its 15th season. Zabel said:
"We want to revisit characters that have existed on the show over the years and say where they are now. We'd love to get them all back in some way - that doesn't mean we are going to but we are going to try".

The execs are also interested in bringing back Anthony Edwards even though he died of a brain tumour as Dr. Mark Greene. Zabel added:
"There are ways to do it that we've thought about - even if it were like a lost episode from 1996".

If the show is able to get Mr. Clooney to return for the finale, I'd probably tune in. I've only ever watched one episode because I thought it was too emotional and depressing, but I'd be interested to see how they end the show.
