BBC News reports that a 32-year-old man was arrested for possibly supplying Rae, who was a saxophone player, with drugs. Rae had performed with the likes of his wife and Amy Winehouse with his own group called the Haggis Horns.
Bailey Rae, who married her late husband in 2001, is known for being anti-drugs and even helped with a project for youth in which they were to write songs about the negative effects of drugs. "Helping to raise awareness among teenagers about the danger of drugs is vital, and combining this with the chance to showcase local songwriting talent is a great idea. The impact of drugs in our local communities cannot be underestimated," Bailey Rae told The Times Online earlier this year.
