Spears Donating to Auction

See More... Britney Spears, be-all and end-all of bad Hollywood mothers, has been trying to improve her image. First, she cleaned up her act enough to get back her visitation with her two boys and now she has made a guest appearance on the sit-com How I Met Your Mother. Not only may this do good things for her career, which I’m sure was the original motivation but Spears will also be donating the wardrobe she wore on set to charity. From People,

“A least six items of clothing from the pop star’s wardrobe on the show will be auctioned off to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council, according to the Associated Press.

The auction will begin Monday, right after the episode starring Spears airs on CBS.

Producers of the show sponsored the sale, which will include a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details, all worn by Spears during filming.“

Hopefully this will speak to Spears’ new outlook on life and will only be foreshadowing of the improvements she is about to make on her life and how it affects those in it. It could just be a publicity stunt as well but even so, if she’s going to make these kinds of stunts that benefit other people, more power to her.
