It’s the only way to explain why he brought a hulking, 7-foot tall bodyguard to the celebrity-heavy “Spamalot” third anniversary party at Pigalle on Wednesday night, which Sawyer attended with husband Mike Nichols. “Clay stood there with the bodyguard all night,” said our spy. “He stays a few feet away from him and follows him around. Apparently, Clay gets mobbed by fans, but this party was just other celebrities, so it was peculiar.”
