This week was it folks – the contestants had one last chance to “bring it” and secure their spot in the final 12. How did it all go down? You’ll have to wait for the official word when Ryan Seacrest reveals the names, but for now, let’s have a little fun predicting who will be voted off.

On Tuesday, the guys sang their hearts out, or at least we would have hoped they would. Instead, they all brought rather boring performances to the table. There weren’t any huge standouts, and in fact, the judges ended the show by saying only 4 of the guys should be in the top 12.

Our bet for the two guys that don’t make the cut? Sanjaya and Phil. Sanjaya really should have left last week, but he managed to hang on to sing another song. Phil’s take on a LeAnn Rimes song was downright strange… and may have cursed him.

Onto Wednesday, when the girls took to the stage. Gotta admit that overall, the women did leaps and bounds better than the boys. The performances were much more inspired, or maybe the girls are just more talented? The highlight of the evening was Melinda closing out the show with I’m a Woman (W-O-M-A-N)… absolutely fantastic. Simon even commented she has a million percent chance of returning next week.

So, who’s in loser-ville for the women? Easily the worst performer of the night was Antonella Barba, but it will be interesting to see how her little scandal may work in her favor. Honestly though, she doesn’t have the chops for this competition and it would be sad to see any of the others go in her place. The other lackluster performance of the night was Haley who sang a rather bland song, well… rather blandly.

We can't wait for the official announcement. And Ryan, you always have us on pins and needles (just tell your wardrobe people to lay off on the turtleneck this time, ok?)…
