Chad Kroeger, singer of Nickelback and supporter of the mullet, was convicted on Tuesday of a drunk driving incident that took place over two years ago, according to People. Is the curly-haired blond headed for the slammer?

On June 22, 2006, Mr. Kroeger was arrested in British Columbia after being pulled over for driving 100 m.p.h in a residential neighborhood, People reports. The speed demon blew a .14 in the Breathalyzer — that's twice the legal limit. This occurred after Kroeger, who according to police had red and glossy eyes, handed the officer his credit card when asked for his license. Big mistake Mr. Kroeger!

The judge overruled the attorney's request to throw out the Breathalyzer results, which were later sent over as evidence, according to People.

Kroeger is expected to appear in court on May 1 for his sentencing. One-year suspension of his license and a $600 fine are on the table with absolutely no jail time. Looks like we will continue to hear more singles that sound identical to their 2001 hit "How You Remind Me."

Do you think Kroeger should face stronger charges for his actions? Discuss in the comments below!
