George Clooney Was Joking About Pitt And Jolie Godfather Reports....
George Clooney has laughed off reports he has been named godfather to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's unborn offspring.
The Michael Clayton star sparked rumours earlier this week (begs31Mar08), when he joked to paparazzi outside a Los Angeles restaurant that he had been asked by the Hollywood couple to take on the role.
But Clooney's longtime representative Stan Rosenfield has been forced to publicly dismiss the reports, after some gossip websites reported the actor's passing comments as fact.
Rosenfield tells Wenn, "He was just having a joke".
This is not the first time Clooney has quashed speculation he has been signed up to be an A-List star's godparent - he denied being godfather to Nicole Kidman's unborn child just last month (Mar08).
Jolie is currently pregnant with what would be the couple's fifth and sixth kids, if reports she is expecting twins are true. Jolie and Pitt have three adopted children together, as well as their biological daughter Shiloh Posted By Corinne
