It’s not ‘official’ yet, but a source close to the couple has confirmed that the wedding did take place Friday evening as we’d all speculated.
The friend said: “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair - close friends and family [only].”
The quiet ceremony was followed by a lavish party atop Jay’s Tribeca penthouse apartment. Guests who were known to be in attendance include Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, sister Solange, former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and close friend Gwyneth Paltrow and her hubby Chris Martin.
