The Babyshambles frontman with a hankering for illegal drugs was handed the prison term on Tuesday (April 8), after appearing at West London Magistrates Court.
A court spokesperson told that Doherty had been sentenced for “breach of time keeping, non-compliance of his order and using different drugs”.
Meanwhile, Pete is said to be considering an appeal - hoping to keep his tour schedule intact, which includes a date at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 26th and the Glastonbury festival in June.
However, the people over at his record label Parlophone don’t have much faith that the troubled singer will be available, claiming that the Royal Albert Hall concert will be postponed until after Doherty has completed his sentence.
The statement reads: “(The Royal Albert Hall concert) is due to be rescheduled and all tickets will be valid for the new date once it has been announced. Peter was very much looking forward to the show and would like to offer his sincerest apologies to all his fans and all those concerned.”
