Radcliffe’s role as a tortured teen in the show will go on view this fall for 22 weeks, Reuters reports. Previews begin Sept. 5 at the Broadhurst Theatre, with an official opening night of Sept. 25, say producers.
As for Radcliffe, he recently expressed some anxiety to Reuters about starring in the Big Apple. “It will be amazing,” he said, “but I will be terrified because I was talking to [costar] Richard Griffiths about playing New York, and he said the most stupid thing you can do is underestimate New York audiences.” - People magazine
