DENZEL Washington was the surprise guest at Tuesday’s Universal Motown and Hearst Digital Partnership dinner at the Hearst Theater, and he wasn’t even invited. “He showed up around 8:30 in jeans and a baseball hat, was quiet and stood in the back,” said our spy. Organizers found a seat for him. Universal Motown president Sylvia Rhone chatted up Washington, while one of the night’s hosts, teen singer JoJo, was overheard saying his presence made her “nervous.”
