See More... Retraction (Noun) A public statement, either in print, or by verbal statement that is made to correct a previously made statement that was incorrect, invalid, or in error. The intent of a public retraction is to correct any incorrect information.

I'm going to crawl into the fetal position and hide under my desk silently weeping until New York magazine retracts the most depressing magazine cover I've ever seen. They couldn't even add a question mark to the end of the statement? That's an unqualified pronouncement, people.

Pop culture has just hit its nadir, folks. Kill me. Kill me dead.
