Shakira shared her experience growing up in the developing world where parents were pretty desperate to provide quality education for their children in hopes for a better future. She said that “Education can really save lives.” Shakira also mentioned that according to her sources, over 200 million teenagers can’t attend secondary school due to violence or being forced to work.
