See More... I must admit I don’t get this!. Karl Lagerfeld is renowned for discovering new faces, and and his newest face I am sure will be his most talked-about yet. The 74-year-old designer with Chanel wants to sign up Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Courtney, Yes I said Courtney Love’s daughter believe it or not.

Despite still being at school, 15-year-old Frances, whose father was rock star Kurt Cobain – famous for grunge rock anthems such as Smells Like Teen Spirit before his suicide in 1991 – has already appeared in a number of upmarket American magazines.

“She’s only young, but there’s a lot of interest in Frances,” says a friend. “She is incredibly pretty and has the most perfect porcelain skin.

“She and her mother are having talks with Karl about Frances appearing in his next ad campaign.

I don’t mean to be “mean” but she is really not incredibly pretty at all! Let’s be serious here. Her chin is reminiscent of Rumer Willis. Maybe she will grow into her looks - but really. I would have to say the only reason Chanel is interested in her is because her father was Kurt Cobain. If she was just an ordinary girl she would not have a “snowball’s chance in Hell” of being the new face of Chanel. If I was a betting person I would say this campaign is not going to be around for long! Source

Kurt died in 1994... if he died in 1991 then Frances would have never been born.
