No, we're not going to bore you with more news about the election. (Seriously, are we there yet?) But, we have noticed a major Hollywood trend with celebrities trying to work their way into Washington.
Take for instance, the Whitehouse Correspondents Gala this past weekend. From the name of the event, you'd assume it was for members of the press. Apparently you'd be wrong. Some of the celebs in attendance included Pamela Anderson, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Lauren Conrad, Perez Hilton (seriously?), and Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
Now, we know Heidi is all up in John McCain's business, but since when are she and Spencer (or Lauren or Perez) even remotely connected to the Whitehouse? Not to mention the Jonas Brothers, Rob Lowe (isn't he busy with a lawsuit somewhere?), Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.
What is it with all the celebs hanging out in D.C.? Arnold Schwarzenegger may have pulled it off, but the last thing anyone needs is a Governor Wentz or a Senator Pratt.
What do you think of the celebrity political trend? Is it all in good fun or is it just weird?
