“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” says Cyrus, 15 the  Disney star who posed with a just blanket wrapped around her “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

A Disney Channel spokesperson adds: “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”

As for the completely topless photo of Miley Cyrus, we will not post any nude photos of her or anyone who’s a minor.

“It’s my favorite show! I love it! Obviously not the scenarios. But if you watch Sex and the City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters—that’s a thing we try to do on our show.”

On the infamous semi-topless shot:

“No, I mean I had a big blanket on. And I thought, This looks pretty, and really natural. I think it’s really artsy. [And] it wasn’t in a skanky way.… And you can’t say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]. She’s so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you’re like, O.K.”

On whose career trajectory she’d like to follow:

“Before, I’d say like Hilary Duff. But there can’t be a thousand Hilary Duffs. Then that doesn’t make Hilary special. And there can’t be a thousand Miley Cyruses, or that doesn’t make me special. That’s what a star is: they’re different. A celebrity is different. So, no, mostly I want to make my own path.”

My 2 boys' that are 12 and 16 years old simply
adore Miley Cyrus and I think she's simply adorable!! As for her pictures in Vanity Fair,
I see nothing wrong with them, she looks very
mature and pretty. As for what the press is saying about her pictures being racy? Oh! Please, get a grip! She has pants on underneath the sheet and the only thing that you can see is her back! What's wrong with going backless? The press need's to get a life and to stop trashing innocent teenagers' that just want to exspress themselves!!! Go trash Britney Spears some more, that's why she has all her problems!! BAD PLUBICITY!!!!!!! Goooo Miley!!!

This is child porn stop posting it! Seriously although she is partially cover the photo is "suggestive" and people get placed in prison for these types of photos of minors!



Her parents being present at the photo shoot makes it worse...it makes them, Annie Lebovitz and Vanity Fair guilty of producting child pornography. At 15 she is a minor and even if these pictures are "tasteful" they are also "suggestive". People with clean and normal minds won't see sex or anything inappropriate but people who are sick will and since it's being passed off as legal art the pedophiles will have an easy time getting there hands on it! SHAME! Again she's a child she shouldn't have to applogize for something that her parents were suppose to prevent.

I couldnt care less if there are a few photos off her in a sheet most of the clothes worn today you see more flesh anyway. Get angry about it when you see her doing drugs or pregnant like other tv child stars
