David Blaine is set to attempt to break the world record for holding hisbreath underwater.

The ‘endurance artist’ – who has been buried alive, frozen in a block of ice
and stood on a 100ft pole in previous stunts – will try not to breathe for
longer than the current record of 16 minutes and 14 seconds when he appears
on Oprah Winfrey’s US talk show.
