Annie Leibovitz is a world renowned artist whose iconic portrait of Yoko Ono and John Lennon, taken a mere five hours before his death, established her as one of history's greatest photographers. She has worked with iconic politicians, musicians and movie stars alike. Recently, the photographer has found herself at the center of a media firestorm surrounding a series of photos she shot with Miley Cyrus for Vanity Fair magazine. While some critics are claiming the portraits are nothing more than child pornography, Leibovitz and her supporters argue the images are art. What do you think? The opportunistic Vanity Fair pervs uploaded some behind the scenes photos & video footage from their shoot with 15-year-old Miley Cyrus. I guess they would like us to believe that it was just a fun family photo shoot -- please don't buy into that bull.
Adults did Cyrus' hair and makeup, adults arranged Cyrus' sexy poses, and adults wrapped that sheet around her. I wonder if any of those said "adults" bothered to ask themselves: "Does this 'artistic' photo look like something a pedophile will shoot his load allover?"
Only an idiot wouldn't realize that there are sick men in this world who jerk off to "artistic" photos of teenage girls like this. The adults present at Cyrus' VF photo shoot knew exactly what they were doing: taking advantage of a naive teen for their own gain. Billy Ray and Tish need to wake up and start protecting their daughter.
Photographer Annie Leibovitz is trying to spin this by issuing this statement:
“I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted. Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together, and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it.
"The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.”
My parents wouldn't let me wear a two-piece swimsuit until I was 16 because they didn't want some sleazy pedo eying me at the pool (thank you, mom and dad!) and if Leibovitz can't see how these photos of Cyrus can (and will) get into the wrong hands, perhaps it's time for the old lady to retire? I'm sure there are many talented photographers who can create art without instructing an underage girl to give the camera 'bang me' eyes.
The portrait of Cyrus that appears in the June issue of Vanity Fair is far more disturbing than any of the behind the scenes photos. Somebody at VF made sure to print the "sexiest" portrait of Cyrus -- look how low the sheet is in this shot compared to the above photos. Sick, sick, sick!
