Richard Lewis reportedly shocked audience members on The View on Friday, April 25, 2008 by opening up with Whoopi Goldberg about their drunken affair. The two actors have both been public about their past struggles with drugs and alcohol. However, viewers were left stunned when the Curb Your Enthusiasm actor asked Goldberg how he was in bed. Lewis revealed to the other hosts:
"I had some blackouts. You know, I've been sober for almost 14 years. We (he and Goldberg) were hot for each other, but I don't remember".
He then asked the Oscar-winner:
"We did screw right? Was I any good?"
Goldberg replied:
"Fast, but good".
Wow, I'm sorry I missed it. How awkward that he'd open up about hooking up with Whoopi in the past and then even asking her if he was any good! How about asking her in private about that? I bet the other hosts were thinking:
"TMI! (Too much information!) EW!"
