Is Nicole Richie becoming a wino?

and back on the booze train,

according to The National Enquirer.

While her boyfriend Joel Madden was out of town,

Nicole was downing multiple glasses of wine at a party,

sources told the tabloid.

It was not the first time the “Simple Life” star

has been seen drinking recently.

“It’s no secret that Nicole is back to drinking,

 but now she’s really let go of her sobriety.”

One of her so called “friends” told the Enquirer.

“It’s a terrible shame, because she was shaping

up to be such a good role model - the anorexic

substance abuser who turned her life around

for her lover and her baby.”

Joel was in Europe with his band Good Charlotte

when Nicole was downing at least three glasses

of wine during a birthday party at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont

on April 11th, according to an eyewitness.

“Three glasses is a lot for a girl who’s only five foot

one inch tall and weighs less than one hundred pounds -

 and Nicole got progressively drunker

as the night went on.” 

 reported the source to the Enquirer

.Nicole entertained her friends by making animal sounds,

purring like a cat and howling like a coyote.

“It sounded like a zoo - except it was a dinner party

at a post hotel!  And everyone at the table was roaring

with laughter at Nicole’s antics.”

After the party, Nicole

“stumbled out of the hotel.  She had to hold on

to her friends for support.”

A friend told the paper.

“After Harlow was born, Nicole started to drink. 

She seems to think that because alcohol is not her

drug of choice, it’s OK.”

The source continued,

“But I’m afraid Nicole is falling back into addiction -

and if she doesn’t snap out of it,

she’s going to crash and burn.”
