Celebrity Drop Outs: No Graduation Day For Them!

Eager to set a good example for her 7-year-old daughter, country singer Gretchen Wilson, 34, was inspired to take the General Educational Development exam and will receive her diploma on May 15. Wilson, who left school during the ninth grade, is hardly alone among celebrity high school dropouts.

On the heels of the story about Grammy winner Gretchen Wilson earning her GED to set a good example for her daughter, I thought of those other celebrities who didn’t wear their cap n’ gown down the aisle.

Here’s some famous high school dropouts.

1. BRITNEY SPEARS: It’s true. Britney Jean Spears chose Disney over Diploma. We could have guessed this one, though.
2. JAMIE LYNN SPEARS: Like sister, like sister!
3. LEONARDO DICAPRIO: Talented hottie Leo “sank” his high school days to act.
4. JESSICA SIMPSON: She sang and acted her way from class to being Daisy Duke’s new ass.
5. PARIS HILTON: Did she really need to finish school? She didn’t think so.
6. AVRIL LAVIGNE: Hey! HEY! YOU! YOU! Yes, I am a drop out!
7. JOHN TRAVOLTA: Son of a high school drama teacher, John Travolta “greased” his way outta school to do what he does today!
8. SIMON COWELL: And he judges people?Yeah, right!On American Idol, Simon is known for his crass comments. I am sure we can come up with a comment about you, too, Simon!
9. JOHNNY DEPP: Captain Jack walked the plank out of high school instead of the graduation march!
10. TOM CRUISE: I could have guessed this one, too. It’s not that I don’t like Tom… but…he’s so damn dramatic. In real life, too!

A little post script: Jamie Lynn Spears did get her GED.
