singer-songwriter JOHN MAYER.

But the lucky fella was nowhere to be seen

in a sweltering Miami yesterday,

as Jennifer made the most of a break from

 filming new flick, Marley & Me,

to top up her tan.

The pair had reportedly seen quite

a bit of each other before they made their

new romance public by being seen

sunbathing together last week.

John, who is nine years Jennifer's junior,

has previously dated JESSICA SIMPSON

and JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT.

Jennifer has had a string of failed relationships

since splitting from hubby BRAD PITT in 2005,

including VINCE VAUGHN and Essex bricklayer,

and model, PAUL SCULFOR.
