In the video, captured by The Sun, Peaches is seen offering up to £190 in cash to the dealer for miscellanious “stuff,” and then asks if she can pick up some Valium the next day.
Valium is something many long-term drug users take when they’re coming down from a drug high.
Peaches and Jonny met in the street in the St Martin’s area of central London at around 1:17 a.m. (London time), before Geldof lead the dealer into the safety of a nearby office, where two young men and a woman were already waiting.
Jonny said he wanted to do the deal inside because he “feared undercover cops were waiting outside.”
At this point, Peaches is heard saying: “I have to go to the cashpoint but I have some money in my pocket.”
One of her male friends piped up, “I’ve got forty quid.”
Peaches told the dealer: “Just give it to me. I’ve got £140. How much are they?”
“If you took what you said you would it comes to £190. What have you got up to now?” Jonny said, to which Peaches replied, “I’ve got £140 but I need all that stuff off you tonight. Remember what I owe you, Ok? Tomorrow I need Valium.”
Jonny: “I can do that for you.”
Peaches: “I really need it.”
Jonny: “They are there for you.”
Peaches ended with “I’ll call you tomorrow,” and Jonny’s parting words were, “Take care people,” as he left the building and returned to his car.
The police are now looking to bring Peaches in for questioning over the alleged incident.
In the past, Peaches has been adamant that she’d never do drugs, which claimed the life of her mother, Paula Yates, who died from a cocaine overdose in 2000. “My friends do drugs but I would never use them,” Peaches was once quoted as saying. “I’m not stupid.”
If the video footage is to be believed, Peaches has a lot of explaining to do to her father. The 55-year-old once said that if he ever found his daughters were doing drugs, he would “go f*****g ballistic.”
