30 Seconds to Mars Saying 'Goodbye for Some Time,' Jared Leto Says

Jared Leto fans better grab a box of tissues, because they're eyeliner's about to start running: You won't be seeing 30 Seconds to Mars for a while.



The frontman recently told Kerrang! that his band is on a farewell trek of sorts in the U.K. right now ... but fans will be relieved to know that he and his pals will be hitting the studio again.

"We may not be back for quite some time," Leto said of 30STM playing in Britain, "but at the moment our priority is ... creating new music."

Leto said the band will soon enter the studio to start working on a fresh album, the successor to 2005's A Beautiful Lie.

Until they do, though, 30STM will be gracing Europe for a few more gigs.

"We're really happy to be coming back to the U.K.," Leto added. "More than anything, it's a chance for us to say thank you and goodbye to everyone who has been so supportive and kind towards us on the back of the last record."
