Bring out the summer accessories: shoes

There are so many new styles to choose from! What to do? One of each.

I'm not really sure if I should classify these as shoes or boots, or maybe half-and-half. Regardless, I love them. I NEED the Givenchy gladiator-inspired ones (lower left), and I mean badly. I have been admiring them since I first spotted them on the runway last September.

And with great shoes like this, can you believe that Chloe is letting go of Paulo Melim Andersson? I saw them in person at Coccodrillo. They're definitely an 'in person' type of shoe.

There also seems to be a lot of 'blushing' happening in the shoe department this season. I hadn't yet been introduced to Jonathon Kelsey, but I like what I see. And you can never have too many Repetto ballerinas! Went for the first time to their flagship store on Rue de la Paix in Paris two weeks ago. The costumes were amazing. Like if you want to dress up your 5 year-old in a $5000-looking costume amazing. Imagine.

A few trends that I wasn't yet ready to let go of from the winter have stayed around for spring. I was in love with Burberry's studded accessories and I still am. Too bad I still can't afford them.

It looks like Marni has carried on the elastic strap-on trend that Prada introduced last season. I'm not so sure anyone will be copying Miuccia's insect-inspired heels next season though....

You can't go through spring without a cute pair of ballerinas. The cutest ones this season all seem to have a splash of metallic, literally.

The Pedro Garcias are really on my radar and you can never go wrong with Lanvin ballerinas. Just as the real life Gossip Girls.

The PGs must be real python because the higher price tag than the Lanvins would otherwise be unjustified.

And, finally, my favourite sandal: the gladiator. No one does them quite like Guisseppe Zanotti. Or, alternatively, you can do as I did and snag a similar pair in Italy for under 50 euros. Even with the RyanAir flight, you still save money! My boyfriend asked if I got them at the Colleseum.
