It's "something I might do one day!" the 30 Rock star says in an interview airing Sunday on CBS' 60 Minutes.
"There's other things I want to do," besides acting, adds Baldwin, 50. "There's no age limit on running for office, to a degree."
Baldwin also speaks out about calling his 12-year-old daughter Ireland "a thoughtless little pig" on her voicemail last year after becoming enraged when she skipped a planned phone call.
"You can pretty much bet all you own that I would never leave another voicemail message for my daughter that wasn't just like something out of a Rodgers and Hammerstein score," he says.
