Pussycat Dolls To Perform At MTV Movie Awards

Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls will provide the musical entertainment – and preview their new music – at this year’s MTV Movie Awards on June 1, the network has announced.

The British rockers will perform "Violet Hill," the first single from their forthcoming album, Viva La Vida (due June 17), while the Pussycat Dolls will unveil "When I Grow Up." The song is expected to appear on the band’s sophomore album, due over the summer.

The MTV Movie Awards will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. Angelina Jolie and Zac Efron are among the stars up for the coveted golden popcorn trophies – while the comedy Superbad leads in total nominations, five. Juno follows with four.

Comedian Mike Myers is onboard to host the annual ceremony.
