KEVIN LILES SAYS EVERY MOMENT WITH HIS CHILDREN COUNTS

Executive Vice-President Kevin Liles didn’t always find time with his kids:he was too busy climbing up the ladder in the music industry. From an unpaid intern at Def Jam Records to Executive Vice President of Warner Music Group,Kevin has “Made It Happen.”  Mr. Liles finds that the greatest moments in his life,however, are spent with his kids:

“I’m the oldest of four and was a young father at 21. I’ve always taken responsibility seriously. I made sure to provide for and protect my family. But I wasn’t there early on for my younger kids’ first steps or to watch Dora the Explorer with them because I was in my ‘make it happen’ years.Now I’m in my ‘make a difference years.’ I used to think that spending quality time with your child meant doing things,but sometimes it’s just being still with them-watching how they view things on the computer or what hand they’re learning to dribble with. Every moment matters.”

Liles also has an older daughter,Kristian,19,from a previous relationship.
