According to GreenDayAuthority.com, the band's fanclub, singer Billie Joe Armstrong Reverend Strychnine Twitch hit the tiny stage at Oakland, California's The Stork Club at 11 p.m. He was reportedly dressed in a pimp jacket, chain necklaces, white sunglasses and had a head full of spiky blond and black hair. The rest of the Foxboro Hot Tubs were dressed to impress as well — complete with stylish outfits straight out of the '60s.
GreenDayAuthority.com reports that The Tubs pounded through all 13 tracks from their debut album, Stop, Drop and Roll!!!, which is due Tuesday. And then came the two biggest surprises of the night: The band performed "Supermodel Robots" by The Network (Green Day's other "secret" side project) and then the seldom-played-live Green Day tune "Blood, Sex and Booze" (from 2000's Warning). The band returned to the stage for an encore that was packed with cover songs.
