Celebs are known for shameless self-promotion and self-adoration, so I wasn't too concerned when men's mag fave Kristin Cavallari hit the gutter with her innaugural ball during the grand opening party of Lucky Strike Lanes she hosted last night in Las Vegas.

Were she the darling of ESPN2 and not MTV and had a wall of trophies and gigantic souvenir checks she won on the professional bowling tour, then there might be cause for alarm. But she did exactly what she was supposed to do -- look cute in her bowling shoes and host a party. The gutter ball is no more embarrasing than some of the celebrity first pitches that will be thrown when baseball season starts back up again.

For the record, she knocked down eight pins on her second ball, which is respectable. Unlike Kristin.
