See More... Boston Red Sox left hander Jon Lester has just pitched the 18th no hitter in Sox history. The hard throwing left hander shut down the Kansas City Royals for a historical 7-0 victory.  Lester struck out 9, walked 2, and had an astronomical pitch count of 130.  If you are curious about the last no hitter in the big leagues — well you don’t have to look far it was Clay Buchholz of the same Boston Red Sox.
