I Like It I Don't Like It
Frank Iero has been keeping busy ever since My Chemical Romance finished touring. In fact, he's about to perform with his own Cure tribute band.

Named The Love Cats after the 1983 Cure single of the same name, the group is also made up of Andrew Everding of Thursday, Pete 'The Pete' Steinkop and Michael McDermot of Bouncing Souls, DJ Values of Let It Burn, and Matt Scara of Pitch Black Blonde.

Asbury Lanes (Yes ... a bowling alley) in Asbury Park, New Jersey, is the location for the gig. The show will cost you [lucky number] $13 and doors open at 8 p.m. ... but you may need a fake ID — the show is 18+.

Opening the show will be Tragedy (A heavy-metal Bee Gees tribute band) and Anna Copa Cabanna.

Thursday singer Geoff Rickly recently spoke with Buzznet about his side project, United Nations, as well as an upcoming Thursday split EP with Japanese hardcore band Envy.

Meanwhile, on June 24, MCR will be releasing The Black Parade is Dead. The live CD/DVD will feature performances from the band's shows at Palacio de los Deportes sports arena in Mexico City (October 7, 2007) and Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey (October 24, 2007).
