Swingtown!

I Like It I Don't Like It

Guess what's new, sexy, and retro at the same time?  The series premiere of the new TV show "Swingtown", airing this Thursday on CBS.

We've been thirsting for good television ever since the writers strike, and "Swingtown" looks mighty refreshing.  It's got one of our old school crushes – none other than studly Grant Show, who you'll definitely remember from "Melrose Place" back in the day.  And he's back to his old habit of playing a ridiculously hot neighbor again (if you don't mind a little 70s 'stache, that is).

"Swingtown" is about an innocent couple in the 1970s who move into a swanky new suburb only to find it oozing with sex appeal.  The Miller Family's new 'hood is all about wife swapping (the x-rated kind) and key parties.  (Incidentally, Bruce Miller is played by adorable Jack Davenport from the BBC series "Coupling.)

As if that weren't enough of a pedigree, the series is directed by Adam Poul, who's best known for another sexed up hit – "Big Love".  And so far, we've got big love for "Swingtown".

Will you watch "Swingtown" when it premieres this Thurday?

  • We will watch it, but we are concerned it will perpetuate stereotypes that no longer apply to swingers in the 21st Century.
