Just a couple of days after it was reported that NBA star Marko Jaric and 'Victoria's Secret' supermodel Adriana Lima are now engaged, flamboyant Renault F1 boss Flavio Briatore stepped up to the altar to marry 28-year-old model Elisabetta Gregoraci.

Briatore, who had previously dated models Naomi Campbell and Heidi Klum, exchanged his vows with Gregoraci on Saturday in front of more than 300 guests, which included Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Spain's former prime minister Jose Maria Aznar.

British pop group Duran Duran was on hand to serenade the 58-year-old playboy and his bride during the lavish celebration.

Briatore couldn't contain his emotion over what the Italian press dubbed the "wedding of the year."

"I'm as excited as if a Grand Prix race was starting," Briatore was quoted as saying.

According to press reports, Gregoraci had turned the racing boss towards faith not too long after Briatore experienced a scare of kidney cancer in 2006, which was averted through an early diagnosis.

Briatore, one of the richest men in Formula One, was behind the emergence of such top drivers as Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso.
