BRITNEY SPEARS and ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE are expected to face off in court this morning in Los Angeles. Sources tell ET that both parties will be in attendance -- standing before Commissioner SCOTT GORDON for the first time since January, when Britney's custody was revoked.
Today's hearing will reportedly be a progress review to aid Commissioner Gordon in making a ruling on Spears' requests for more visits and possible overnight stays with her two young sons, SEAN PRESTON and JAYDEN JAMES.
In recent months, Spears' father has taken over her affairs and the troubled pop star has seemingly been improving by leaps and bounds, both personally and professionally.
After a wowing viewers and critics with her guest-starring role on "How I Met Your Mother" (which she will reprise in the May 12 episode), the singer has been spending time with her family -- including her previously estranged mother. This past weekend, she flew to Kentwood, LA to attend her little sister's baby shower.
