See More... According to OK! magazine, Jamie Lynn Spears gave birth to her daughter Maddie Briann naturally on Thursday morning -- not by Cesarean Section, as other reports have claimed.

The mag adds that the 17-year-old delivered her seven pound, 11 ounce baby girl without complications, and that mother and daughter are resting up in the company of family including Jamie Lynn's sis' Britney, parents Jamie and Lynne Spears, and brother Bryan Spears.

Little Maddie Briann is the first child for the "Zoey 101" star and fiancé Casey Aldridge.

- Just because the child isnt planned - doesnt mean that it would not be wanted and loved or taken care of, although she should have waited. Things happen. & since when is a baby 'necessary'? There are also children planned that are poorly taken care of. & By older people, if she were older - no one would care

i really dont like d fact that jamie had a baby now my favorite show is canceled its sooo wrong i dont like it im happy 4 her a little but i wish she never had her baby i really liked zoey 101 now she had 2 have sex what a soooooo wrong mistake why wassnt she protecting herself.

I think that if any regular underaged couple had sex and got caught pregant w/the boy being of age and the girl not he would have gone to jail. she sends out a bad example for our young and should not be on tv for the pre teens. she is not being taught anything about responsibilty or morals by her parents.where are the consequences for either child.just because they have money and the press can make money off them they are getting off scott free.

She should do PSA's on teen pregnancy. I heard about this new show Baby Borrowers that is supposed to address this. Maybe she needs to do a guest appearance.

I think that while her situation isn't ideal, women were having babies back when they were 14 and 15 since the 1500's. I think that as long as she supports her child without the help of the government and as long as she loves and nurtures it, who are we to judge? Andrea Yates killed 6 kids and she was over the age of 17. Actually most of your tragedies like that the woman was older.... In other words, Don't judge without reason and then you should not judge since you don't live her life...
