Britney & K-Fed: Case Closed

It's final! Britney Spears and her lawyers have crossed the t's and dotted the i's on their custody settlement agreement with Kevin Federline and his legal team.

The settlement has been finalized, according to The Associated Press, and in papers filed in L.A. Superior Court that were obtained by "The Insider", Britney must pay her ex-hubby's lawyers, Kaplan & Simon, a final sum of $250,000 to cover their legal fees, while her monthly child support of $15,000 has been upped to $20,000 per month, beginning July 15.

Kevin has sole custody of their two little boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston, and Britney retains visitation rights.

  • Good to know Britney was able to come through as the Golden Goose K-Fed was banking on, isn't it? Anyone who can't raise children on $15,000 a month needs to be under the microscope, as well!!! The only one who really banked was the bottom feeder lawyer...as usual.

  • she carried the boys for nine months, give birth to them, nurse them and spent sleepless nights for being a mother and yet this money hungry k-fed wanted custody and her money. what a mistake of having him fathered her kids. in the end k-fed you didn't win this case from the public eyes. your battle is about greed and power, bad karma be with you. the legal system in america sucks.

  • I think the $20k is fair enough, but for Britney to have to pay Kevin's lawyer $250,000 is seriously adding insult to injury.
    If I were Britney I wouldn't have agreed to anything until Kevin agreed to supply receipts for every cent of the $20k.
    I wouldn't want any of the $20k being spent on supporting the two children he has with his ex Shar.
    I would want proof that all of the cash was being spent on Sean and Jayden's upbringing.

  • alls fair in love and war. i think this has worked out for the best. Spears is going through a rough battle being bi-polar, I am sure she is very happy now that the father of her children was there for her when she needed him most.

  • What a MAN, K-FED only asking for $5,000.00 extra a month to have sole custody of his 2 boys he had while married to Britney. I guess this extra income comes in handy for ???. I wonder what these 2 boys will think of their dad one day when they are alittle older finding out their mother paid him $20,000.00 a month of be their FATHER!

  • The main concern are the (2) little boys, to make sure both parents are in there lives. Kevin or Britney put there difference aside and focus on those boys with love.

  • What in the world had happen to justice! Britney's not my favorite, but taking her children away from her is not the best idea, and I don't think K-FED would make a good father, I believe he wanted the custody of the (2) kids just to earn more and more money from Britney, I mean what the $20,000 are for, he doesn't need 20,000 a month to raise (2) kids, he can raise (6) kids with that money. I know someone in Israel who pays for his wife (who won the custody for (2) kids) 2000 Shekels a month it's about $588 a month and she says it's enough for her.
    man, $20,000 is too much.

  • I think that Britney's boys are beautiful and I know that she only wants the best for them. I think that despite Kevin's colourful history, he's done a good job with his children. I wish all involved the best.
